Hermit Park State School was the winner in the Primary School Category of the Townsville City Council Environment Excellence Awards presented at EcoFiesta 2005. Receiving their certificate from Townsville Mayor and Deputy Mayor Cr Tony Mooney and Cr Ann Bunnell was (l-r) students Judith Aisthorpe and Alexis Scott.
